We are pleased to welcome you to DogZworth’s March 12-13 “Flyball On Nun’s Island” 2 day NAFA flyball tournament.  Thank you for entering and good racing to everyone!  Our tournament will be held at DogZworth’s Canine Sports Center- Centre Sportif Canin DogZworth.  In case you need to reach me my cell phone number is 514-250-3013.  In Quebec it is illegal for the driver to talk on the phone while driving.  Please respect the speed limit- photo radar is here!   There are signs to indicate the locations of the radar cameras (look for a sign with a picture of a camera).  In Montreal right turns at red lights are not allowed.  Please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS.  Plenty of indoor crating will be available.

To exit Nun’s Island- You exit as usual from our building (turn left), drive along Ch du Golf, pass all the shops/restaurants, turn left at the Esso gas station and follow the road (all the same as before).  Here's the change: In the "round a bout" you will find the on ramp for the highway.  Do not go right towards the Bell office complex.  You enter the highway via the round a bout.  Again, do not go right towards the Bell complex.  This new entrance will save you approx 1-2 mins of driving time and there is no access to the highway if you head towards the Bell Complex.

Where to eat: For lunch we recommend that you visit Île des Soeurs (Nun’s Island).  To get to the restaurants turn left out of our parking lot.  In the “round-a-bout” take Place du Commerce Street.

Measuring will begin at 8:40am

RACING:  Racing will begin at 9:00am on Saturday and 8:30 on Sunday.  Don’t forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.  Our judge is Monica Johnny.  While Monica is racing her dog Danielle Beauregard will be helping us out (thanks Danielle!!).

Thanks to OMEGA ALPHA PHARMACEUTICALS for supplying the welcome gifts.

For clubs running multiple teams: Let the head table know if your team needs an extra minute or 2.  We’ll be happy to accommodate you.

Warm-ups:  There will be a 1.5 minute warm-up period allowed at the beginning of each race.  Time will start at the end of the preceding race.  The warm up time might change to a one minute period.  We will advise you when the warm up time has been changed.

Divisions have been divided according to the submitted team times.  Each division has been assigned a break-out time one second faster than the top seed time in that division (for additional information see NAFA rule 5.5).

Round Robin (3 out of 5 format): Teams will earn one point for each heat they win and 0 for each lost heat.  Tied heats will not be re-run.  If a heat is tied both teams will earn 1 point.  The team with the highest point total will earn 1st place, the second highest will earn 2nd place and so on.

Eliminations: The team with the most wins will place first in the round robin.  Final placement will be determined by adding the round robin and elimination placements (lowest score places first).

Ties:  Ties will be broken in the following order:  Fastest time head to head, over all fastest time and finally previous head to head wins.  In the case of a tie in a division with an elimination round, the round robin will be used to break the tie (fastest time head to head, over all fastest time and finally previous head to head wins).

Placement & Special Awards:  Since some divisions are much larger than others the following placements will receive placement awards: Multi- 1st, 2nd, 3rd.  Open 1- 1st. Open 2- 1st, 2nd, 3rd.  Reg 1- 1st, 2nd, 3rd.  Reg 2- 1st, 2nd. Some very special “special awards” will also be presented!

We hope everyone stays healthy- for direction to the hospital or vet please see anyone from DogZworth.  Have a safe drive!  In case you need it, Ally’s cell phone number is 514-250-3013.
