We are pleased to welcome you to DogZworth’s April 14-15, 2007 “Flyball Friends” NAFA flyball tournament. Thank you for entering and good racing to everyone! Our tournament will be held in Brampton, ON at the Fairgrounds- 12942 Heart Lake Rd. Please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS – clean up materials will be available at the entry door to the building. Don’t forget to check out our raffle table!
Plenty of crating will be available outside. There is limited indoor crating. Please do not park, walk your dogs or crate beside the large soccer building. Do not drive on the grass- the ground is too soft. We’re racing and crating in the middle building.
The Special Awards: This weekend DogZworth will be awarding beautiful “Special Awards” named in honour of some of our canine and human team members. They will be on display all weekend so please remember to admire them!
DogZworth’s Flyball Friends Quiz: All clubs entered are invited to try our “Flyball Friends Quiz”. The club that gets the most correct answers will win a half price entry to one of our upcoming tournaments and 14 raffle tickets per team entered (example- if the winning club is running 3 teams this weekend they will receive 42 raffle tickets plus one half price entry). Friends quizes must be returned to the head table by the end of racing on Saturday.
Where to eat: The DogZworth Diner will be open this weekend. We will be serving snacks, beverages, breakfast and lunch. The closest Tim Hortons restaurant is at the corner of Mayfield Rd and Hwy 10. To get to Tim Hortons turn right out of the fairgrounds. Go south on Heart Lake Rd, turn right on Mayfield. The trip is approx 10 minutes.
Where to stay: On site camping for trailers and RVs is available. If you require electricity the cost will be $25 for the weekend. If you don’t pug in there is no charge for your stay. Please do not dump your grey water and do not drive or set up on the grass- the ground is too soft. Someone from our team will be happy to direct you to a suitable location. Directions to the fairgrounds from Toronto- take highway 401 (west) to highway 410. Go north on highway 410 until it turns into Heart Lake Rd. Continue north on Heart Lake Rd. The fairgrounds are on your left (west) side (approx 8 minutes north of the 410). The address is: 12942 Heart Lake Rd.

Measuring will begin at 7:30.
Warm-ups: There will be a 1.5 minute warm-up period allowed at the beginning of each race. Time will start at the end of the preceding race. The warm up time will change to a one minute period. We will advise you when the warm up time has been changed.
RACING: Racing will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday and 7:00 am on Sunday. Our judge is Brian Kauk. Glenn Hamilton will be our relief judge. Placement awards will be presented.
Divisions have been divided according to the submitted team times. Each division has been assigned a break-out time one second faster than the top seed time in that division (for additional information see NAFA rule 5.5).
Round Robin (3 out of 5 format): Teams will earn one point for each race they win and 0 for each loss. The team with the highest point total will earn 1st place, the second highest will earn 2nd place and so on.
Round Robin (veterans- 3 out of 3 format); Teams will earn one point for each heat they win and 0 for each loss. The team with the highest point total will earn 1st place, the second highest will earn 2nd place and so on. In the 3 out of 3 format, tied heats will not be re-run. Both teams will earn 1 point for a tied heat.
Eliminations: The team with the most wins will place first in the round robin. Final placement will be determined by adding the round robin and elimination placements (lowest score places first).
TIES: Ties will be broken in the following order: Previous head to head, fastest time head to head, over all fastest time. In the case of a tie in a division with an elimination round, the round robin will be used to break the tie (in the following order- previous head to head, fastest time head to head, over all fastest time).
