We are pleased to welcome you to DogZworth’s May 24-25, 2008 Fourth Annual “Run Clean” NAFA flyball tournament. Thank you for entering and good racing to everyone! Our tournament will be held at the Brome Fairgrounds: 345 Stagecoach Road, Brome, QC J0E 1K0
Please CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS. Plenty of crating will be available outside. If the weather is rainy or cold there is indoor ring-side crating.
The Special Awards:
- This weekend DogZworth will be awarding our coveted “Bizzy Award”- we’re picking a rescued dog that really shines. Your very special rescued racer! This award is named in honour of DogZworth team member Bizzy, a rescue dog.
- We will also be awarding special awards to your flyball addict. To win your dog doesn’t have to be the fastest, but he or she should be hopelessly addicted to flyball. We'll be picking dogs that catch our attention- for example a really awesome “must win” drive back, a super speedy box turn, or a dog and handler that just have a special something together. We'll know them when we see them!
- The team that runs the cleanest will take home our beautiful “Run Clean” awards. Ties for the “Run Clean” special awards will be broken by random draw.
The special award plaques will be on display all weekend so please remember to admire them! Feel free to nominate dogs for the “Bizzy Award” or our “Flyball Addict” trophies but keep in mind that a dog doesn’t need to be nominated to earn a special award. All dogs racing this weekend will be considered.
Where to eat: Les Tornades, Quebec City’s first (and only) flyball team, will be serving snacks, beverages, breakfast and lunch (spaghetti on Saturday and hot dogs/sloppy joes on Sunday). Please help get their flyball club get started by eating and drinking on site! Or visit Cowansville. It is a full service city with restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and fast food (Tim Hortons, Burger King, McDonalds, Subway and Villa du Poulet Kentucky or Kentucky Fried Chicken). The people in Cowansville speak French and English. It is 10 miles from Brome. Les Tornades also speak English but it helps if you speak somewhat slowly.
Where to stay: The Brome Fairground has plenty of on site hook up for RVs and trailers ($20 for the weekend). Tents are free and those that don't hook up also stay for free. We can all be clean- on site showers are available! Bathrooms will be open all night long. Or you can book a hotel room at Auberge Le Pigeonnier- 1-877-366-6685
