Some Comments About DogZworth's "Big O" NAFA Flyball Tournament- Nov 24-25, 2007:

YAHOO!!! - What a blast!!!  Did our terriers feed off of each other or what. They all laid down new best times this weekend, not just once, but over and over again!!!!!!!  FANTASTIC VENUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  EVERYONE SHOULD COME AND PLAY IN MONTREAL!!!!!!!!!!

Kim Scea, from Hot Diggity Dogs, Region 20

Many people thought I was crazy to venture to Montreal from NS at the end of Nov...they were probably right! BUT it was well worth it...

A BIG thanks to Ally & the DogZworth team for organizing such a great debut for flyball in Quebec. I had a great time running in Open for the first time and hope to do it again.

The pet expo was fantastic - so big we didn't even get to see everything (more reason to go back next year!). The crowd was great, cheering the dogs on and getting so excited when "their" team won. Although I couldn't always understand exactly what they were saying, my french is quite rusty, it was obvious they were enjoying the dogs. Confirmation, Obedience, Agility, Flyball, Disc, so much to do - maybe next year Molly can try her hand at the disc freestyle - she loves that frisbee!

I too want to add my kudos for a job well done!  It was extremely well run with a nice easy schedule enabling us to watch some of the other venues such as Agility, Disc dog, Conformation and Obedience. There was also time to spend money at the numerous vendors that were there too.  Running in the Olympic Stadium was awesome!  The crowds were huge and we were told there were approximately 60,000 people who attended this event.  Talk about exposure for Flyball!  The stands were full and the people were 4 to 5 deep around the other sides of the ring.  The announcer commentating about the races really got the crowd and the dogs going. I didn't understand a word as it was all in French but I got the idea!  Sting posted some of his fastest times and that was with handlers who had never run him before.  Hype was also steady as a rock in start position and really loved racing the other dogs and the cheers of the crowd.  We were such a big hit I heard they were moving Flyball over to where the big stands were so that even more people could watch.

The Hotel was beautiful with a big breakfast buffet included and it was right across the street from the Olympic Stadium.  No travel time involved. We went to an awesome restaurant [Madison's Grill] where both the food and the service were superior.

Needless to say I will again be waving my family goodbye right after Thanksgiving to head to Montreal for next years tournament.

A huge thank you to Ally and all of the DogZworth team for hosting at the Olympic stadium in Montreal. Congratulations for starting region 20 out with such a fun and exciting event.  The venue was awe inspiring, the souvenir gifts were great and everyone at the event was so nice and helpful.   I also want to say that the people of Montreal were so nice and welcoming.   The hotel and restaurants were wonderful and the service was top notch.

I have never seen so many people at a pet expo and certainly not at a flyball event.  There were literally thousands of people, the bleachers were packed and 4 and 5 deep around the ring.  The roar of the crowd sounded like that at a stadium football game.  The announcer was fantastic.  It was all in French and I couldn't understand a word but I got the idea.  He got the crowd clapping and cheering.  As the lights counted down from yellow to green the pitch and excitement in his voice grew.  I have to say the funniest part was when a little dog was running down and he was yelling "itty bitty, itty bitty, itty bitty" in a French accent.  OK that part I understood. The crowd went wild when the anchor dogs would run and it was a close race.  They were cheering go, go, go the whole way and if the "underdog" team got the win they just went crazy.

Special thanks to DogZworth and everyone else who helped out running Kobi when I needed to run Chilly, box loading, shagging, pass calling and just making us feel so welcome in Montreal.

Wow what a great weekend of flyball in the Olympic Stadium in Montreal in front of thousands of people "ring side".  Thank you to DogZworth for hosting this historic event (first time flyball in the province of Quebec..part of new Region 20).  The dogs all did so well and the louder that announcer made the crowd cheer the faster our guys ran. He was a FANTASTIC announcer (they all were)!!!  You didn't need to know how to speak French to know what he was saying.

The souvenir awards were a wonderful idea especially the commemorative lapel pins marking the event. This was truly a once in a lifetime weekend!

Natalie Cornell, from Hot Diggity Dogs- NAFA Region 20

A big thanks for the energy, enthusiasm and knowledge you bring to this area one example, was this weekend's tournament: it was fun, well ran, lots of racing, and what a venue!! I'm looking forward to next year's tournament.
